Community Partnerships
At Michigan One Community Credit Union, we believe supporting our members goes beyond great financial products — it’s about building stronger communities.
In 2024, M1 donated to 136 organizations, giving a total of over $115,000, which is a reflection of our deep commitment to the communities we serve. On top of that, through your creativity and generosity, our office charities have raised and donated an additional $6,752.03. Through our M1 Community Bonus program, we supported 55 charities with $27,500 in 2024. And since inception in 2008, that program alone has contributed an amazing $353,450.
Hands-On Support
M1 team members actively engage with local nonprofits—not just through donations but by showing up, rolling up our sleeves, and volunteering.

Investing in Our Communities
At M1, we proudly donated over $115,000 in 2024 through cash, item donations, and sponsorships, all focused on supporting local schools, foundations, and nonprofits. These contributions help provide essential resources, fund community programs, and strengthen the partnerships that matter most. Together, we’re building stronger, more vibrant communities — because at M1, giving back is at the heart of what we do.

Year-End Community Bonuses
Each holiday season, M1 provides critical support to local schools, food pantries, and family-focused organizations — ensuring families in need feel the warmth of their community.
Since launching our Year-End Community Bonuses in 2008, we’ve donated more than $350,000 to help local families thrive.

M1 Community Partnerships Priorities for Giving
Agriculture: We recognize local young people involved in agriculture. We understand the importance of agriculture and salute the efforts of those preparing to be tomorrow's agricultural leaders.
Economic Growth: We believe in support of local businesses and the organizations who better economic development in our communities.
Education: We are committed to supporting our local students by supporting our local school districts. Our support is offered in all curriculum areas and extracurricular activities.
Health and Human Services: We support local efforts to help our community in the area of basic needs, from food to literacy, and from housing to healthcare. We also support groups who strive to keep our communities safe. These efforts encourage positive growth and success in our communities and support people of all ages.
Children’s Services and Programs: We support our local children through partnerships with local programs and activities for children and their families. This includes sponsorship of youth sports teams, and other youth activities that teach safe and healthy lifestyles.
Community Programs and Events: We believe by taking an active role in community events, we can have a positive impact on the future. In addition to corporate contributions, employees are encouraged to participate in volunteer projects. Employees are given support in these endeavors through company time and available resources.
Miscellaneous: Occasionally, we become aware of community events or programs that are worthy of support and do not fall within our general focus areas.
Limitations:he credit union receives far more requests than we are able to fund. Priority is given to capital projects and special programs, rather than operational funds. Funding is not available for the following:
- Individuals; private foundations; international organizations; and beauty and talent contests.
- Programs of a political nature, and organizations that pose a potential conflict of interest.
- Organizations located in areas where we have no operations.
